The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society has been part of the community since 1892, helping to build healthy families by working with parents and community partners to address concerns and resolve issues that impact on a child’s safety and well-being.
We work with organizations across the region, providing child protection and family support programs to the City of Peterborough, County of Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton County.
The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society is a not-for-profit agency that, by law, is required to protect children from physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and neglect.
Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society is a child protection agency mandated under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, in Ontario. Our responsibility is to protect children from harm or risk of harm due to neglect and physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.
